Application Engineer (m/f/d) - semiconductor industry

Drive development projects for new SEM-based applications in display manufacturing and SEMI advanced and panel level packaging, including SW, HW and electronic area. Develop and improve manuals and application documentation. Follow-up and complete technical open issues with support of local teams in Asia or North America or Europe to achieve system acceptance by customer. Support in sales and service areas through publications, presentations, customer demonstrations. Develop new system components, features, and test processes. Control system performance in terms of specifications including necessary corrections. Troubleshooting in mechanics, software, electronics on alpha and beta systems. Willingness to travel nationally and internationally including temporary assignments at Asian customers (expected to be below 20% of the time). Education and experience: A technical or university degree in electrical engineering, physics or related engineering disciplines. At least 4 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or comparable areas. Previous knowledge of SEM hardware or application is an advantage. Good analytical skills. Excellent communication in German and English.
