Job Summary
Application Engineer based in Dresden to support European customers, develop new best-known methods to increase product adoption for Films and Optical CD platforms, lead project activity at customer sites, and drive pre-sales and post-sales activities. Responsibilities include providing technical applications support for product development/implementation in customer fabrication facilities, delivering product presentations and trainings, assisting sales in assessing potential applications and creating detailed specifications, and coordinating project execution and product adoption with the local Business Unit. Required skills include experience with ellipsometry/reflectometry, applying statistics to derive meaningful results, strong presentation, communication, and problem-solving abilities, and willingness to travel >50% (including extended travel to Taiwan). Languages: fluent English; German and Mandarin are a plus. Minimum qualifications include a Master Degree (or equivalent) in Materials Science, Physics, or Electronics/Electrical Engineering; PhD is a plus; related semiconductor fab experience is beneficial; EU driving license.
Required Qualifications
- Master Degree in Materials Science, Physics or Electronics/Electrical engineering or an equivalent education in a related field, PhD is a plus
- Fluent English; German and Mandarin knowledge are an important plus
- 3 years of semiconductor IC fab experience would be beneficial
- EU driving license
