Job Summary
Review RFQs and technical specifications, perform process design calculations, and develop Process Flow Diagrams and Process & Instrument Diagrams. Prepare mass and water balances, execute hydraulic calculations and pump sizing, and select equipment and materials for costing. Identify technical and commercial risks while developing conceptual, budgetary, and firm proposals. Present technical solutions to customers and support bid/no-bid decisions. Operate in an independent capacity with support from senior engineers, providing mentorship to developing staff. Work primarily with the direct sales team to exceed customer expectations through innovative wastewater and process water solutions across microelectronics, food & beverage, mining, and chemical processing sectors.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in Chemical Engineering
- 4+ yrs of experience
- Ability to conduct and understand water quality projections
- Advanced competency in multiple standard equipment platforms and their employment
- Thorough understanding of common components and their application
- Ability to execute complex tasks with limited guidance
- Solid understanding of the sales process and how organizational role influences outcome
- Solid understanding of financial principles related to proposals, costing, business outcome and risk mitigation
- Solid understanding of contractual terms and conditions
- Advanced ability to develop execution strategy while mitigating business risk
- Possesses excellent communications skills and can effectively present technical information in a customer setting
