Application Engineer - III, Secure Site

Job Summary
Conduct senior-level system analysis, design, and implementation of applications and databases for critical Secure Site client workflows. Translate technical specifications into code for complex enhancements, integrate third-party products, and elevate artifacts through development, test, and production environments. Provide follow-up production support, manage change control requests, and lead design inspections to identify lifecycle issues. Train and mentor staff while resolving elevated issues and ensuring compliance with security policies. This role sits within a collaborative full-stack engineering team focused on modernizing accounts, transaction history, and order status experiences using React, TypeScript, and AWS. Engineers work closely with Product, UX, and Platform partners to deliver high-impact functionality while continuously improving architecture and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years related work experience
- At least one year of development experience
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Modern front-end development using React
- TypeScript
- Microfrontends (MFEs) in Stencil
- Integration with shared UI frameworks such as AEM Content Fragments
- API-driven architectures including REST and GraphQL / Supergraph concepts
- Java
- Angular client-side framework
- Nest.js
- Cloud-native deployment environments, primarily AWS
- Observability tools including Splunk, Honeycomb, and Grafana
- CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices
- Modern AWS databases like DynamoDB
- AI assisted development using CoPilot, Claude, or similar LLM
- Thoroughly understands software development methodology
- Thoroughly understands development architecture standards
- Thoroughly understands and complies with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures
