Job Summary
Coordinate control system planning, design, and configuration by identifying MEP systems on drawings and creating P&ID's for mechanical equipment. Design complex electrical circuits including VFD's, motor starters, and relay logic while selecting appropriate control hardware based on equipment requirements. Develop controls submittals with minimal senior assistance and interact with field electricians to specify installation methods. Discover new control technologies to enhance product offerings and identify potential scopes of work for controls implementation. Requires Visio and AutoCAD knowledge, advanced controls hardware expertise, and experience with Distech, Delta, Schneider, or JCI systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent field experience
- 4+ years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in applications engineering
- Engineering skills required include knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming
- Working knowledge of at least two HVAC controls systems (preferably Distech, Delta, Schneider or JCI)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- EIT or PE license
- Experience with control system architecture design, programing, or maintenance
- Visio and AutoCAD knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of controls hardware
- Select control hardware based on equipment requirements
