Application Engineer I

Job Summary
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers regarding product application, specifications, and support needs. Prepare and generate accurate quotes, coordinate production needs, and partner with sales and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Monitor approximately $20M in lead product accounts, escalating concerns to keep projects on track while building knowledge to expand into broader technical support. This Applications Engineer I role is based at the Florence plant, supporting roughly $160M in standard/configured coupling applications. The position offers a hybrid work model with onsite days at the Regal Rexnord location.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in an engineering, technical support, or customer-facing role
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- You'll work in a hybrid model, onsite at your designated Regal Rexnord location at least 3 days per week (Monday–Thursday), with flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days, including Friday
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
- Experience with quoting, pricing, or estimating processes
- Familiarity with production scheduling or manufacturing operations
- Prior customer service or account management experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility
