Job Summary
Application Engineer specializing in Power Quality/FACTS solutions in Australia. Lead technical development of PQ/FACTS projects for utility, renewables and industry customers across Australia. Provide pre-sales support, perform power system analyses (load flows, transient dynamics), develop base/standardized solutions for the Australia market in collaboration with Product Management, R&D, and Global/Regional Competency Centers. Drive market analysis, support tendering and execution teams, and maintain long-term relationships with customers, EPCs, consultants (notably AEMO and TNSPs). Support the introduction of new technologies and ensure compliance with grid codes and internal regulations. Strong emphasis on technical discussions, solution differentiation, and coordinating with global centers of competence. Required Qualifications
- Master’s in electrical engineering
- 10 years of experience in tender/project work/within FACTS or Power Electronics application for transmission applications
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with customers and key stakeholders
- Knowledge of power electronics applications, system design, calculations, analysis and simulations
- Knowledge of PSSE, DigSilent Power Factory, PSCAD/EMTDC, and power plant control
- Experience in compliance to NER, GPS and R2 compliances is advantageous
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
