Job Summary
Application Engineer for Power Conversion focusing on SiC/high-voltage devices. Will define product requirement specifications for new products, validate electrical performance through simulation and experiments, design and build test circuits and systems for device development, and perform comprehensive application verification and validation from a system perspective. Requires in-depth knowledge of industrial motor drive applications and strong problem-solving skills. Responsible for producing collateral such as datasheets, application notes, user guides, white papers, and patents, and for conducting technical presentations and product training to internal Sales/FAEs and external partners/customers.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
- Experience with SiC, high voltage MOSFETs, IGBT, Gate Drive IC, Rectifier, FRD, PKG
- Ability to define product requirements and verify electrical performance through simulation and experimentation
- Design and build new test circuits and system for device development
- Experience in application verification and validation for silicon/SIC devices
- Knowledge of industrial motor drive applications and problem-solving skills
- Ability to create collateral and IP materials (datasheets, application notes, user guides, white papers, patents)
- Experience delivering technical presentations and product training to internal teams (Sales and FAEs) and external partners/customers
