Job Summary
Drive the technology evaluation stage of the sales process by acting as the key technical advisor to the sales team, identifying and resolving customer issues to ensure satisfaction. Support factory operations in Hanover with new product introductions, agency audits, and R&D collaboration, while articulating product positioning to business and technical users. Lead technical discussions with military contractors like NAVSEA and nuclear industry clients to develop and qualify filler metal products, and provide design support to consultants and distributors. Maintain accurate records of accounts and projects in approved databases, respond to RFIs/RFPs, and support the technical support team with troubleshooting and military approvals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering degree (Welding or Metallurgical), or equivalent education/experience
- Proven technical abilities and experience with welding processes
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficient in Microsoft Visio and AutoCad
- Ability to read architectural, mechanical and electrical blueprints
- Solid understanding of basic electrical and mechanical control systems
- Technical competence in SAW, FCAW and SMAW welding for general fabrication
- Experience with qualifying welding procedures to the AWS (D1.1 or D1.5) and/or ASME codes
- Experience writing PQRs and WPSs
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to push, pull products weighing up to 50 lbs
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment 'PPE' when working/visiting manufacturing and plant locations
- Must be available for domestic travel approximately 50%
