Job Summary
Application Engineer at CaptiveAire develops sustainable mechanical ventilation and control strategies for a wide range of commercial HVAC applications. Typical tasks include exploring applications, performing design reviews, answering product/application questions, developing training resources for internal sales engineering, collaborating with sales, R&D, and service teams to ensure high-quality outcomes, and researching new applications while reviewing remote monitoring data. Requires a BS in mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred) and 0-5 years engineering experience; strong Excel data- manipulation skills and excellent communication. This is a non-remote, on-site role based in Raleigh, NC with relocation assistance available and a base salary of $65k-$90k plus performance-based bonus.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Engineering- mechanical or electrical preferred
- 0-5yrs engineering experience
- Must be able to manipulate data to derive trends and useful facts using Excel or similar software
- Must have strong communication skills, with the ability to discuss complex mechanical equipment and controls with a wide range of audiences
- Must be a self-starter, able to handle long term tasks with little guidance
