Application Engineer

Job Summary
Provide technical engineering support for engine and electrified powertrain test systems, including integration, commissioning and troubleshooting of mechanical infrastructure, battery, e-motor and emission measurement systems. Responsibilities include implementing and tuning control loops, integrating simulation models and auxiliary equipment, creating commissioning documentation, conducting data acquisition automation reviews, scripting to automate processes, and providing training to customers on system applications. Travel up to 40% across the United States and potential work-from-home options within the U.S. AVL North America/North American AVL entities based in Plymouth, MI. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering or related field and 5 years of related experience.

- 5 yrs of experience in application-engineering duties
