Job Summary
Application Engineer for the Automotive Aftermarket Division in the UK at 3M. Based at the Skills Development and Training Centre at MIRA Tech Park in Warwickshire with regular travel to customer locations across the UK. Deliver hands-on product demonstrations and training sessions for internal and external audiences, showcase 3M products, processes, and digital tools to improve profitability for bodyshop customers, and build strong relationships with end users and distributor partners. Conduct field testing and support new product evaluations, benchmarking, and validation efforts, and provide support across testing activities and market insights. Requires strong communication skills, the ability to conduct demonstrations at a high level, and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time. Role is on-site with a four-days-a-week in-office pattern at MIRA, with safety and inclusion commitments emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Technical diploma or completed apprenticeship with a relevant technical qualification
- Relevant experience in collision repair, damage estimation, or related industries such as vehicle manufacturing or maintenance, repair, and operations
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Office
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Strong hands-on product demonstration and training capability
