Job Summary

Develop and maintain software applications and data solutions for the Investments organization, including enhancement, new development, upgrades, and routine maintenance of proprietary and vendor systems. Provide 24x7 production support through on-call rotation while diagnosing and resolving complex issues across application code, data pipelines, APIs, and infrastructure environments. Collaborate with business partners and architects to design, test, and deploy components using agile methodologies, ensuring data impacts are considered and change management processes are followed. Automate recurring processes involving data ingestion and reporting to improve efficiency, and mentor other engineers to develop technical skills. Maintain documentation for applications and operational procedures while supporting analytics platforms and managing data integrations for portfolio holdings and benchmark workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, business, mathematics, or related field
  • 3+ years' technical experience in application engineering, data engineering, or production support
  • Experience with development languages, tools, and structures (e.g., Python, R, SQL or similar technologies)
  • Experience with vendor package implementation and system integration
  • Business knowledge for the area of support
  • Experience working with data pipelines, APIs, or system integrations
  • Experience troubleshooting issues across applications, data, and infrastructure layers
  • Strong critical thinking abilities to assess application systems and design effective solutions across application and data domains
  • Ability to make sound judgments when evaluating business and technical environments and recommending solutions
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across distributed systems and data workflows
  • Demonstrates a continuous learning mindset and adaptability across modern and legacy technologies
  • Works effectively as a member of a cross-functional team, iterating on solutions while supporting 24x7 production systems
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with data quality, accuracy, and operational reliability
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences
  • Proactive mindset focused on automation, process improvement, and reducing manual effort
  • This position requires you to work on-site in Minneapolis, MN a minimum of three days a week
