Job Summary
Lead the development, optimization, and commercialization of ESD/IDP polymer products while partnering with manufacturing teams to drive scale-up, process optimization, and cost reduction initiatives. Serve as the primary technical interface for key customers across Southeast Asia, managing trials, qualification activities, troubleshooting, and complaint investigations to deliver material solutions. Translate application requirements into product specifications and collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and global technology units to support strategic business growth and product roadmaps. Provide leadership and mentoring to the Seremban technical team while maintaining awareness of competitive technologies and identifying new marketing opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Master and above degree in Polymers, Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related subjects
- 5+ years of polymer application & product development working experience
- In-depth understanding of polymer structure-processing-property relationship
- hands-on experience in product & compounding formulation development
- Strong analytical and problem anticipation & solving skills
- ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences (internal & external)
- highly motivated towards goals & objectives
- Fluency in oral and written English
- Well versed in polymer property evaluation including physical, mechanical and electrical properties based on Standards such as ASTM, ISO, ANSI, UL and others
Desired Qualifications
- Compounding product recipe experience on various engineering plastic, including PC/PEEK/PP/COC
- Familiar with extrusion/molding process
- Deep understanding of thermoplastic elastomer property, including TPU, TPE, TPV, TPEE
