Job Summary
Conduct R&D of UV-curable resins for optical fiber coating by formulating research plans, synthesizing and designing urethane oligomers, and preparing samples for physical property evaluation. Propose solutions to customers while accompanying sales staff, gather academic information, and submit research papers or present at conferences. Requires a master's degree or higher in chemistry, engineering, or a technical field with at least three years of experience in product development or R&D within related fields such as UV-curable resins, semiconductor resists, or coating materials. Candidates must demonstrate experience covering the full process from synthesis and formulation design to sample preparation and property evaluation.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in chemistry, engineering, or another technical field
- At least 3 years of experience in product development or R&D within related fields such as UV-curable resins, semiconductor resists, optical materials, or coating materials (postdoctoral research experience is also acceptable)
- Experience in organic material development or organic chemical synthesis
- Ph.D. in a related field
- Experience covering the entire process from synthesis and formulation design to sample preparation and physical property evaluation
- Experience in polymer synthesis and organic material formulation at a scale of laboratory level or larger
- Possesses the communication skills necessary to work smoothly within a team
- Able to persistently carry out tasks toward resolving issues
- Proactive and willing to take initiative in actions and communication
Desired Qualifications
- Fundamental knowledge of organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and materials science (Preferred)
- Motivated to learn English (no specific English proficiency required at the time of hiring)
