Job Summary
Lead the design and architecture of robust, scalable, secure, and high-performance applications, defining technical standards, patterns, and best practices for agentic software architectures. Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical designs, architectural blueprints, and implementation strategies while evaluating and recommending appropriate technologies, frameworks, and platforms with a strong emphasis on Google Cloud Platform services and cloud-native architectures. Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to architectural principles such as the 12-factor app methodology, while collaborating closely with clients, product managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions. Contribute to technical roadmaps, stay abreast of emerging technologies like AI/ML integration and serverless, and identify potential technical risks regarding infrastructure security and cluster management to propose mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in software development
- at least 3-5 years in an Application Architect or similar senior leadership role
- Proven track record designing and deploying cloud-native applications on GCP
- Strong understanding of Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Serverless, and N-tier applications
- Expertise in Java and Spring Boot
- at least one other modern language (e.g., Python, .NET, Node.js, Go, C#)
- Proficient in designing data models and selecting appropriate database technologies (Relational, NoSQL)
- Extensive experience with RESTful API design, API Gateways, and secure development practices
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Helm), and automation tools
- Solid understanding of frontend frameworks, including React
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Readiness to work in shifts
- ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative, global team
Desired Qualifications
