Job Summary
Design and build business applications using modern architectural patterns like N-Tier and MVC, while developing and maintaining RESTful APIs. Integrate internal tools with external systems, including ERP platforms such as Microsoft Business Central, and optimize relational database structures. Contribute to front-end development with modern UI frameworks and deliver features independently within Agile or Kanban workflows. This on-site role supports core operations for Midwest Fastener Corp's software team, located in Kalamazoo, MI or Cleveland, OH.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field, or equivalent practical experience preferred
- Working knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language (C#, Java, C++, Visual Basic, or similar)
- Experience or exposure to relational databases (MySQL, MS SQL Server, SQLite, or similar)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs (development or integration)
- Exposure to modern frontend frameworks such as React, Flutter, or Angular
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience independently delivering features from design through deployment
- Experience working within Agile or Kanban environments
- Solid understanding of SDLC processes
- Experience implementing modern architectural patterns (N-Tier, MVC, layered architecture)
- Experience developing and maintaining production APIs
- Candidates must work in either our Kalamazoo, MI or Cleveland (Northfield), OH office locations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with .NET development
- Experience integrating ERP systems such as Microsoft Business Central, SAP, or NetSuite
- Experience integrating third-party APIs
- Knowledge of SOLID principles
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with unit testing or automated testing frameworks
- Experience with version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Experience with using of AI
