Job Summary
Code, test, and debug software programs while designing and developing small technical modules independently. Collaborate with business analysts and vendors to understand process requirements, develop project plans, and communicate software development schedules. Provide technical support to clients on escalated problems, assist with repairing coding issues, and monitor help desk trends to advise senior team members on system performance. Support testing and validation of product features to ensure they meet business needs, develop technical documentation, and partner with Business/IT to define and manage release scope. Requires Express.js, Angular, Node.js, and React skills with a Bachelor's degree. Must speak Japanese. Hybrid schedule requires at least three days in the Kuala Lumpur office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Proven experience fulfilling the role of an Application Developer within the insurance industry
- Demonstrable experience across a range of projects, both technology and non-technology
- Strong technical skills in Express.js, Angular, Node.js and React
- Over 3 years of experience in application development
- Ability to interpret process models, requirements, and business scenarios leading to development of the solution
- Ability to speak Japanese
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
