Job Summary
Application Developer to join J5 Consulting to maintain and enhance a service-based Java web application. Role involves building front-end features with React and TypeScript, managing application state with MobX or similar, and developing back-end services with Node.js. Must work with Elasticsearch for search and analytics, integrate with Amazon RDS, and participate in CI/CD pipelines. Additional emphasis on ETL pipelines for very large datasets, Terraform infrastructure work, AWS networking, TLS/security, and collaboration with analytics and SRE teams. Position is onsite in Chantilly, VA, and requires US Citizenship and a active Top Secret/Full Scope Poly security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
- Experience with React and TypeScript front-end development
- Experience with Node.js back-end development and API integration
- Experience with Elasticsearch including search, indexing, and performance tuning
- Experience with Amazon RDS and SQL
- Experience with Git and CI/CD
- Experience with ETL pipelines handling large datasets
- Experience with Terraform and AWS networking
- Experience with TLS and secrets management
- Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a government/commercial contractor environment
