Application Developer III-Epic Application Configuration

Job Summary
Design, configure, and optimize Epic application modules by translating operational workflow needs into technical solutions aligned with business objectives. Code enterprise software systems, integrate solutions with external platforms, and create data extracts and reports based on requirements. Lead deployment of new modules and upgrades to production, validate releases, and troubleshoot existing information systems to identify errors and deficiencies. Develop unit test plans, execute testing efforts across the life cycle, and conduct gap analyses to recommend improvements for application performance. Document functions, changes, and error handling procedures while providing technical leadership and coaching to team members.
Required Qualifications
- Epic certification
- Five (5) years of application programming and analysis experience
- Broad level of understanding surrounding information systems and application architecture standards
- Experience designing, developing and testing applications using proven or emerging technologies
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting healthcare payer operations, including clinical data, care management, utilization management, claims, or other health plan functions
- Prior Epic implementation experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Project management and experience leading projects
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes that span multiple business areas, identify and understand requirements, and develop alternate solutions
- Understand the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
- Expertise in multiple technical environments and possesses business knowledge that spans one or more business areas
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, or within a team environment
