Job Summary
Application Developer II responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining critical applications that support logistics operations, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and supporting applications. Tasks include configuring WMS functionalities, developing scalable production-level code using the Microsoft stack and open-source technologies, creating UI libraries and responsive interfaces for web and mobile apps, analyzing business problems and proposing software solutions, mentoring junior programmers, providing estimates and design specifications, translating designs into code, leading design/code review sessions, debugging and providing Level-3 support, and ensuring post-deployment stability. The role spans collaboration with cross-functional teams, participation in lifecycle activities, and occasional work in professional office or fulfillment center environments with a remote-based primary setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on WMS/WCS applications
- Strong knowledge and proven working experience as a .NET Core developer
- Hands-on experience in developing .NET Core/ ASP.NET MVC applications
- Well-versed with Microsoft’s .NET framework and tech stack
- Proficient in C# and VB.NET programming languages and extensive working knowledge of .NET languages
- Strong experience with MS SQL Server, including database design, development, and optimization
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and methods
- Familiar with entire software development lifecycle and development approaches
- Experience working with WebAPI, Entity Framework, ADO.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, JQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap, and VB.NET
- Working knowledge of Microsoft development best practices, design patterns, and tools
- Familiar with web application lifecycle and frontend, backend frameworks
- Knowledge of web services, WCF, and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture)
- Sound understanding of code versioning tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Must have experience working with web technologies and frameworks
- Knowledge of design patterns and principles and .NET patterns
- Knowledge of testing and automated testing platforms
- Sound knowledge of CLR (Common Language Runtime) and its limitations
