Application Developer (Co-op Student)

Job Summary
Build, test, and maintain features for business applications using .NET and C#, while writing and updating technical documentation. Assist with integrations between enterprise applications and third-party platforms, helping build APIs, services, and backend components using GitHub and GitHub Copilot. Investigate and resolve application defects, analyze integration failures, and provide Tier 2 support for internally developed applications. Participate in testing, deployment, and monitoring of solutions, and sit in on technical design discussions and code reviews. Work under the guidance of a senior developer to ship production code and troubleshoot live systems.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, or related post-secondary program
- returning to studies following the work term
- Foundational programming experience in C#, .NET, or a comparable object-oriented language
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Familiarity with Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows
- Understanding of core software development concepts and the development lifecycle
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good organizational and time-management habits
- comfort asking for help early rather than late
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to REST APIs — building or consuming them
- Any experience with ASP.NET Core or modern web application development
- Familiarity with Entity Framework
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms
- Experience with GitHub Actions or any CI/CD tooling
- Exposure to Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
- Curiosity about ERP, CRM, or field operations systems such as Dynamics 365 Business Central, Salesforce, or FieldFX
- A portfolio, personal project, or repository you're happy to walk us through
