Job Summary
Application Architect role focused on Power BI and BI analytics to support the PALM system transition. Responsible for designing and developing Microsoft Power BI dashboards to replace legacy financial data reports, transforming financial transaction data into actionable insights for leadership and operations, integrating data from sources such as general ledger, purchasing, and revenue data, creating and maintaining paginated Power BI reports, and ensuring alignment with standardized business processes and chart of accounts. Will redevelop system interfaces to meet modernization requirements, integrate data from multiple sources, apply data governance best practices, and collaborate within an Agile/SCRUM framework to deliver reporting deliverables. Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 3+ years BI experience, 2+ years Power BI dashboard/report development, strong SQL, IBM DB2 experience, data warehousing familiarity, and experience with Power BI integrations and financial reporting concepts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technology or finance-related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Business Intelligence
- Minimum of 2 years of experience developing dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience working with IBM DB2 databases
- Experience building dashboards and reports leveraging Power BI
- Experience developing paginated Power BI reports
- Knowledge of data governance best practices
- Familiarity with data management concepts including Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Operational Data Stores, and Master Data Management
- Experience creating financial reports using transactional data
- Knowledge of advanced data structures such as OLAP cubes and Star/Snowflake schemas
- Experience integrating Power BI with Microsoft tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, PowerPoint, and Teams
