Job Summary
AFRY Application Architect role focusing on maintaining/developing AFRY's engineering applications/tools, supporting end-to-end workflows and integrations, defining functionalities with SMEs and stakeholders, creating functional requirements and user stories, coordinating bug fixes and testing, performing database analysis and SQL data troubleshooting, and collaborating with external vendors and internal teams. Requires experience in application architecture or senior software engineering, Oracle SQL, Azure/cloud applications, system integrations/APIs, enterprise application design, DevOps practices, tools such as Azure DevOps/Jira, GitLab, Docker, familiarity with ITSM systems, and fluency in Finnish and English. Work location can be any AFRY Finland office with preferred sites Vantaa, Tampere, Kouvola, Oulu, Turku, and Kuopio; hybrid options available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field
- Experience with Application architecture or senior software engineering roles
- Oracle databases and SQL
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based applications
- System integrations, APIs, and enterprise application design
- Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
- Azure DevOps/Jira, GitLab and Docker
- Familiarity with ITSM systems
- Fluent in Finnish and English
