Job Summary
IT Applications Analyst to support Maximo in WebSphere/OpenShift/UNIX environment; responsibilities include troubleshooting and problem resolution, root cause analysis, testing on patches/upgrades, configuring the application, and developing reports. Supports integrations with Oracle Financials, Databricks, Cool Compliance and Plant Historians. Collaborates with Southern Power TO team, business users, technology planning analysts, vendors, and management to deliver products with rigor and quality. Requires familiarity with applications development methodology and adherence to TO standards, Sarbanes-Oxley, and related regulations; knowledge of AI trends is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year college degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in supporting IBM Maximo or other enterprise vendor applications
- Experience in relational database systems including Oracle and SQL Server
- Experience with OpenShift, WebSphere, UNIX, and Linux
- Programming experience using SQL, VBScript, JAVA, XML, JMS, .NET, Python
- Maximo or other CMMS application experience (preferred)
- Experience with Cognos, BIRT (and Eclipse), or Microsoft Reporting Services (preferred)
- Experience with integrations of data lakehouses such as Databricks (preferred)
