Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of household appliances on-site for Progress Residential residents, reading schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, assembling appliances when required, and documenting service calls and parts used. Collaborates with teammates to improve service efficiency and resident satisfaction, delivering top-tier customer service and clear communications with residents about repairs and maintenance needs. Requires 5+ years of appliance repair experience and a strong mechanical/electrical background; HVAC/refrigeration familiarity and EPA 608 certification are highly desirable; driver eligibility and a valid license are required for on-site work.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven appliance repair experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License in working state; meet company MVR driver eligibility
- EPA 608 certification preferred
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems and HVAC is highly desirable
- Experience with sealed systems is preferred
- Experience in field service and customer-facing roles is a plus
- Excellent customer service and ability to communicate technical information clearly to residents
