Appliance Service Department Administrator / Service Writer: serve as the primary point of contact for appliance service customers, manage service calls, schedule technicians, create work orders, order parts, process warranty claims, maintain records, and ensure a superior customer experience from initial contact to final resolution. Responsibilities include answering calls and emails, assisting with inquiries and scheduling, maintaining professional communication, creating and maintaining service work orders, collecting appliance model/serial/warranty information, coordinating technician routes, tracking open tickets, updating service notes, ordering parts, processing warranty documentation and reimbursements, inventory receiving and labeling, diagnosing discrepancies, processing payments, and supporting daily administrative tasks for the service lead. Candidates should be detail-oriented, organized, capable of multitasking, and proficient with office software, with strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and customer-first mindset. Preferred experience in appliance service, service writing, dispatching, warranty administration, or related roles; familiarity with inventory management, POS, scheduling, and service management software. Success metrics include accurate work orders, timely warranty claims, efficient parts tracking, and high customer satisfaction.
