Job Summary
Deliver and install luxury kitchen and laundry appliances in residential and commercial settings while ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to manufacturer standards. Independently perform installations or collaborate with an Install Assistant, coordinating with customers, builders, and contractors to complete projects with quality workmanship. Troubleshoot installation challenges, maintain clean work environments, and represent the company professionally at every job site. Travel to customer locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, including occasional out-of-state assignments, and handle large appliances up to 1,000 pounds with assistance. Requires a valid driver's license, DOT qualification, and ability to pass background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required with an acceptable driving record
- DOT (or the ability to obtain one upon hire)
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check, consistent with applicable laws
- Ability to lift and move heavy appliances up to 100 lbs independently and maneuver larger loads with assistance
- Push, pull, lift, and move loads up to 1,000 pounds with assistance (using straps, dollies, and team support)
- Ability to safely assist and perform installations of various high-end kitchen appliances, such as refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, washing machines, dryers, and more
- From time to time, handle and transport large appliances safely and securely
- Load/unload appliances from trucks
- Ability to lift and move heavy appliances up to 100 lbs independently and maneuver larger loads with assistance
- Ability to lift and maneuver large appliances safely
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- PPE may be required
- Travel to customer job sites throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, including occasional out-of-state assignments, is required
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday daytime hours; some Saturdays or extended hours may be expected
- Overtime (OT) may be required based on project demands and based on business needs
- Ability to safely install a variety of premium kitchen and laundry appliances
- Ability to safely load, unload, transport, and install large appliances using proper lifting techniques and equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency using hand and power tools and a working knowledge of appliance installation requirements, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide exceptional customer service
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous appliance; luxury or high-end appliance preferred
- Strong mechanical skills and proficiency with hand and power tools
- Previous experience leading, training, or mentoring installation team members preferred
Desired Qualifications
- 1–2 years of appliance installation experience preferred, or equivalent experience in a related mechanical, construction, or installation field
- Experience installing premium appliance brands such as Sub-Zero, Wolf, Cove, Miele, Thermador, Monogram, JennAir, Viking, or similar luxury products is a plus
- 2-3 years of appliance installation experience preferred
- Previous appliance; luxury or high-end appliance preferred
