Job Summary
As Assistant Teacher at AppleTree Prep Macon, you’ll support the classroom team to create a safe, nurturing environment where children learn and grow. You’ll assist with daily activities, provide active supervision, and help bring the curriculum to life while maintaining required ratios. You’ll support children’s development through positive guidance, interaction, and play, assist with routines and organizing classroom activities, and communicate with families to support overall school operations. The role emphasizes teamwork, ongoing learning, and adapting to a fast-paced early childhood education setting. You’ll gain hands-on classroom experience and build skills to advance in early childhood education. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with young children in childcare/preschool setting preferred
- Must meet state-specific education, certification (including CPR/First Aid, where required), licensing, and regulatory requirements, including background check and ongoing professional development
- Effective communication skills and collaborative approach
- Must be at least 18 years of age
