Appian Software Developer/Integrator - TS/SCI

Job Summary
Deploy release candidates to production environments while participating in test, staging, and production deployments. Integrate container-based Appian using Kubernetes, Rancher, and Helm alongside DevOpsSec tools. Assist in maintaining big data pipelines involving Kafka, Elasticsearch, and Python/Java microservices running on Kubernetes. Monitor automated system integration tests to identify failed modules and manage project priorities, deliverables, and deadlines. Foster collaboration with system integration engineers to ensure quality service and product delivery to Defense and Intelligence Community customers. Work primarily on-site in Bethesda, MD, with flexible scheduling and occasional remote tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph
- Experience with Appian
- Experience with containerization
- Development and/or scripting experience, especially Python and Bash
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools including Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and practices, especially Gitlab or Jenkins
- Experience with Agile practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiastic with the ability to work well on a team and a self-starter who can work on their own
- Must possess an Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph

- Experience with systems at scale
- Kafka or other message passing systems
- Experience on a production/ enterprise system
- Cloud infrastructure experience
- Appian certification
- Experience with any of the following technologies: Java
- Experience with any of the following technologies: Kubernetes monitoring, e.g., Prometheus/ Grafana
- Experience with any of the following technologies: Appian integration with PostgreSQL or other DB
- Experience with any of the following technologies: SALT for deployment automation
- Experience with any of the following technologies: GraphQL
- Experience with any of the following technologies: Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Logstash, specifically admin experience
- Experience with any of the following technologies: Helm and Helmfile
- Possess at least one DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification, e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, Security+ CE, SSCP, CISSP (or Associate)
- Ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification per DoD 8570 policy
