Job Summary
Handle appellate matters, including appeals and petitions for extraordinary relief, independently and in partnership with trial counsel to build winning appellate records. Draft complex law and motion documents (demurrers, motions to dismiss, motions to strike, anti-SLAPP motions, and summary judgment motions) and contribute to strategy for appellate success. Required Qualifications
- Active member of the State Bar of California
- California license to practice law
- 5+ years of appellate experience
- Experience handling appeals and petitions for extraordinary relief
- Experience drafting complex law and motion matters (demurrers, motions to dismiss, motions to strike, anti-SLAPP, and summary judgment)
- Ability to collaborate with trial counsel to build appellate records
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Team-oriented and professional demeanor
