Job Summary

Assess physical and psychosocial status of clients through interviews, health history, and diagnostic studies for inpatient and outpatient services. Formulate treatment plans with physicians, manage specialty clinics, and prescribe medications while interpreting diagnostic findings. Evaluate care quality, participate in multidisciplinary conferences, and lead clinical research efforts. Provide symptom management for oncologic treatment side effects and assist with admissions as needed. Maintain professional certification, attend educational conferences, and ensure HIPAA compliance. Split shift between two locations with a 1:5 call rotation, fully funded tuition available for you and dependents.

Required Qualifications

  • Master of Nursing degree from an accredited institution
  • Current licensure in state of Kentucky as an APRN
  • National certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
  • Current DEA certificate without restriction
  • Current BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
  • Ability to critically think through complex patient situations
  • Ability to assist others in developing clinical reasoning skills
  • Must be able to communicate appropriately with the person served regardless of their age
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patients served
  • Demonstrative knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
  • Must be able to maintain professional certification in specialty area
  • Must be able to attend and participate in national, regional, and/or local educational conferences
  • Must be able to comply with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct
  • Must be able to comply with HIPAA privacy and security requirements
