Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive physical exams, assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and prescribe medications within the scope of practice. Develop individualized care plans, provide health education, and perform minor procedures such as wound care and suturing. Document patient interactions in the electronic health record, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and collaborate with physicians and other team members. Manage follow-up care and coordinate specialist referrals as needed. This role includes on-call coverage outside scheduled hours. The position supports a team-oriented family medicine clinic with access to ED and hospital work.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a master's, postmaster's, or doctorate from an accredited nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in each state of practice
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice
- State Controlled Substance License (if required by State)
- National board certification as a Family (FNP-C) or (FNP-BC)
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required specific competencies and certifications as outlined on privilege form
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in each state of practice

Desired Qualifications
- If Licensing prior to August 1, 1995, master's degree in nursing is preferred
- Experience in primary care or family medicine preferred
