Job Summary

Independently evaluate and treat pediatric patients with non-emergent illnesses, minor injuries, and infections in a walk-in or extended-hours setting. Perform clinical procedures including wound care, splinting, abscess drainage, and rapid testing while ordering and interpreting point-of-care labs and radiology. Prescribe medications and treatments per Washington State guidelines, educate families on diagnoses and warning signs, and document encounters in the electronic health record. Lead care coordination and disposition planning without supervisory oversight, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and imaging staff to support patient flow. Participate in clinical meetings, improvement initiatives, and peer collaboration to enhance practice quality and safety. Maintain licensure and continuing education while adhering to attendance policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Current Washington State licensure as an ARNP (NP) or PA-C with full prescriptive authority
  • National certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), or PA-C
  • BLS certification
  • Excellent autonomy, decision-making, and patient-centered communication skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Clinical experience in pediatric urgent care, primary care, or emergency medicine
