Job Summary
Treat patients in their homes or facilities within the Moore County area as part of a seven-member Palliative Care APP team supported by dedicated social workers. Manage weekday coverage with protected administrative time, including a rotating schedule of 1:4 weeks with Hospice from 5:00 pm to 8:30 am Monday through Friday, plus 24-hour weekend coverage. Maintain autonomy in decision-making while exercising initiative and discretion in sensitive patient and family discussions. Requires NC licensure, DEA, AHA ACLS certification, and two years of advanced practice experience.
Required Qualifications
- NP must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner education program and have national certification
- PA must be a graduate of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification
- 2 years of advanced practice experience required
- Must be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision-making
- Exceptional communication skills; must be able to effectively navigate sensitive patient/family discussions
- Clean background, NC license, and NC DEA required
- AHA ACLS certification required
