(APP) Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Oakwood

Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multi-specialty clinic in Austin, TX. You will interview members to obtain medical history, perform physical examinations, order laboratory and diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and recommend treatments. You will provide continuity in managed care for members with pre-existing long-term conditions, make referrals for secondary and tertiary care, perform medical procedures under issued privileges, provide health maintenance visits and immunization needs, conduct STD screening and family planning, document and code in the electronic medical record, participate in care team meetings, and contribute to clinical committees and quality initiatives. A solo-provider capability within a clinic team setting, strong teamwork, excellent communication, and reliability are essential. Requires Texas licensure as NP/PA, DEA and CPR certifications, and ability to meet credentialing requirements. Preferred: 2+ years in primary care and bilingual in English/Spanish.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Nurse Practitioner Program and certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to practice in the State of Texas
- Licensed and certified to practice in Family Medicine
- Current DEA and CPR certification
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Ability to meet and maintain current organizational credentialing and privileging requirements
- Comfortable working as a solo provider in a clinic team setting
- Computer literacy with ability to navigate electronic health record systems
