Job Summary

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant sought for a Plano multi-specialty clinic group. Responsibilities include interviewing members, performing physical exams, ordering tests, prescribing medications, providing continuity of care for patients with chronic conditions, making referrals in collaboration with the care team, performing procedures per privileges, conducting health maintenance visits and immunization needs assessments, conducting employment-related exams, STD screening and health education, accurate documentation in the EHR, participating in care-team meetings, and contributing to clinical committees and quality initiatives. Requires NCCPA or certifying NP credential, Texas NP/PA licensure, family medicine certification, DEA/CPR, valid Texas driver’s license, ability to credential and privilege, and comfort functioning as a solo provider within a clinic team. Preferred: 2+ years in primary care and bilingual English/Spanish. Able to work irregular hours and handle exposure to blood and bodily fluids; physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds. Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or Nurse Practitioner Program and certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to practice in the State of Texas
  • Licensed and certified to practice in Family Medicine
  • Current DEA and CPR certification
  • Valid Texas Driver's License
  • Ability to meet and maintain current organizational credentialing and privileging requirements
  • Comfortable working as a solo provider in a clinic team setting
  • Computer literacy with ability to navigate electronic health record systems
  • Excellent customer service skills and professional communication
  • Ability to interact effectively with persons from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong teamwork capabilities while maintaining ability to function independently
  • Sound judgment, flexibility to shift priorities, and commitment to confidentiality
