(APP) Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Babcock

Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant needed to join a multi-specialty clinic in San Antonio (Babcock location) as a clinical leader in primary care. Responsibilities include interviewing members, performing physical exams, ordering labs and tests, prescribing medications, coordinating referrals, performing procedures, delivering health maintenance services, conducting employment-related physicals, STD screening and health education, documenting in the EHR, participating in care-team meetings, and contributing to clinical committees and quality initiatives. Required credentials include PA/NP licensure in Texas, NCCPA or certifying body for NP, DEA and CPR certifications, and a Texas driver’s license. Preferred applicants may have 2+ years in primary care and bilingual English/Spanish. The role emphasizes solo-provider capability within a clinic team, strong patient-service orientation, and proficiency with EHR systems. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or Nurse Practitioner Program and certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
- Current licensure as a PA/NP to practice in the State of Texas
- Licensed and certified to practice in Family Medicine
- Current DEA and CPR certification
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Ability to meet and maintain current organizational credentialing and privileging requirements
- Comfortable working as a solo provider in a clinic team setting
- Computer literacy with ability to navigate electronic health record systems
- Excellent customer service skills and professional communication
- Ability to interact effectively with persons from diverse backgrounds
- Strong teamwork capabilities while maintaining ability to function independently
- Sound judgment, flexibility to shift priorities, and commitment to confidentiality
