Job Summary
Evaluate and manage patients with pleural disease on the inpatient interventional pulmonology service. Perform pleural procedures including thoracentesis, chest tube placement, and tunneled pleural catheter management while independently assessing pulmonary and pleural conditions. Collaborate with attending physicians, fellows, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes, and participate in quality improvement and clinical research initiatives. This full-time role requires a procedure-proficient candidate with hands-on experience in POCUS and pleural disease, offering a starting base compensation of $155,000 to $185,000. Applicants must reside in California.

Desired Qualifications
- Previous hands-on clinical experience, including pleural procedures, such as: Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), Thoracentesis, Chest tube placement (including pigtail catheters), Tunneled pleural catheter management and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated ability to independently assess and manage patients with pulmonary and/or pleural disease
- Comfort working in a fast-paced inpatient environment with procedural responsibilities
- Exposure to and/or worked with an interventional pulmonology or thoracic surgery team
- Self-motivated
- Procedure-proficient
- Interest in pleural disease
- Comfortable practicing with a high degree of autonomy
- Ready to contribute to a growing interventional pulmonology service
