Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical exams, and pre-procedural assessments for arrhythmia patients. Interpret diagnostic results from ECGs, Holter monitors, and electrophysiology studies to assist in identifying and managing conditions like atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. Collaborate with electrophysiologists to perform procedures in the EPS lab, including catheter ablation, electrophysiological studies, and device implantation for pacemakers and ICDs. Provide pre-procedural preparation, monitor patients during interventions, and ensure sterile technique and safety. Educate patients on lifestyle changes, medication management, and post-procedure recovery guidelines while documenting all interactions in the electronic health record. Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies to ensure accurate, comprehensive patient records.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies, Nurse Practitioner program, or other advanced practice provider programs", "Current licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in New York State", "Certification by the appropriate board (e.g., NCCPA for PAs, ANCC or AANP for NPs)
