Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner plans and directs the delivery of primary health care and health education programs in association with Methodist Healthcare Primary Care Associates. The incumbent will assess, diagnose, and treat patients in the assigned center, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per approved protocols, collaborate with physicians and staff, and focus on high patient and family satisfaction. Requires a Master's degree in Advanced Practice Nursing and Tennessee NP licensure with relevant national certifications (Family Nurse Practitioner and related qualifications). The role emphasizes care delivery, protocol development, and partnership with patients and families within a faith-driven, high-quality care system. Knowledge of applicable certifications and compliance with practice policies is expected; DEA number may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing
- Registered Nurse license - Tennessee
- Advanced Practice Nurse license - Tennessee
- Family Nurse Practitioner certification - American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (BLS)
- DEA number (if required by facility)
- Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (Preferred credentials listed)
- American Nurses Credentialing Center certifications (Preferred)
- Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
- Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
- Advanced Practice Nursing licensure in Mississippi/other states (Preferred)
