APP - Neuro ICU - Columbia

Conduct primary health care for the Neuro ICU patient population by diagnosing and treating disease, defects, or injuries while following established nursing standards and written protocols. Perform all charting, summaries, correspondence, and paperwork required for documenting care and billing. Engage in physician educational programs regarding capitated medicine, respond to managed care contract requests, and assist in establishing quality assurance, utilization management, and management information systems. Participate in operational assessments to identify revenue enhancement and billing opportunities. Maintain courteous relationships with management, physicians, patients, and the public. This non-management role requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or Nurse Practitioner Degree with prescriptive authority and a DEA license.
