Job Summary
Provide comprehensive care including physical exams, health history evaluations, and diagnostic assessments. Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work, X-rays, and studies, while performing procedures like blood draws, smears, and urinalysis. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, prescribing medications in collaboration with licensed physicians. Develop educational programs for staff, medical students, and community agencies, and participate in training programs, seminars, and team meetings. Collaborate with healthcare staff, physicians, and community agencies to ensure holistic patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Current Maryland Physician Assistant or CRNP or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner License
- DEA Controlled Substance Registration, Controlled Dangerous Substances License (or eligibility to obtain)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
