Job Summary
Oversee advanced practice staff and program activities for the Emergency Medicine department, managing patient care, record-keeping, and personnel. Assess patients and populations to develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care while ensuring regulatory compliance and emergency response preparedness. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established guidelines, serve as a clinical expert for policies and documentation, and assist in staff education and training. Engage in quality improvement through data collection and auditing, leverage informatics to optimize outcomes, and contribute to divisional goals and the Hospital Strategic Plan. Maintain current Ohio Advanced License and national APRN certification. This 0.9 FTE role supports Nationwide Children's Hospital's mission to improve the lives of children through innovative care and collaborative research.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science degree or equivalent provision
- Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Ohio
- Maintains national certification as APRN in the appropriate population foci for the position, or PA
