APN - Rheumatology

Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to work with the Rheumatology Department in a physician-led, patient-centered care team. Responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, and managing autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal disorders (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis, lupus); performing physical examinations; ordering and interpreting labs and imaging; prescribing disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), biologics, and corticosteroids per evidence-based guidelines; assisting with in-office procedures such as joint injections or aspirations; coordinating individualized treatment plans with rheumatologists and other professionals; providing patient education on diagnosis, treatment options, lifestyle changes, and self-management; monitoring treatment effectiveness and adjusting plans as needed; managing chronic rheumatologic conditions and ensuring appropriate screening and preventative care. Experience or interest in evolving treatment paradigms for complex rheumatologic conditions is highly valued.
