Job Summary
APN - Dermatology seeks an experienced licensed Advanced Practice Nurse to work collaboratively with our Dermatology Team. Provides clinical services, develops and implements care plans with collaborating physicians, obtains medical history and performs exams, initiates labs/diagnostics, interprets results, coordinates referrals, ensures continuity of care, documents in EMR, provides health education, participates in performance improvement and risk management, and works within a team to deliver patient-centered care within a value-based care model. Requires Master's degree and NY or CT NP licensure, board certification, 2+ years of experience, BLS/ACLS, EMR proficiency, and strong communication skills. Compensation range: $150,000–$175,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree and successful completion of accredited nurse practitioner program
- Current licensure as Nurse Practitioner by state of New York and or Connecticut
- Board certification
- 2+ years experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Knowledge of medical procedures and guidelines concerning assessment, treatment, and recovery
- Ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team
- Demonstrated professional competence and integrity and ethical conduct of practice
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and effective conflict resolution skills
- Patient focused and committed to providing outstanding and compassionate care and service to all patients
- Strong computer skills and EMR knowledge
