Job Summary
Perform internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain mechanical integrity. Conduct visual inspections of completed work and recommend or approve repairs in accordance with API standards. Assist in scheduling activities and deliver reports to clients while prioritizing assignments by specific deadlines. Work outdoors in plant atmospheres around production machinery, often changing assignments on short notice. Use proper safety procedures, wear required safety equipment, and complete all required training within company guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Possess the related API certification (510, 570, and/or 653)
- At least one year of related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical school or college credits
- Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds
- Capability to climb, work at high elevations, and work in confined spaces
- Ability to walk and climb to maneuver within a refinery or plant environment
- Ability to gain access to elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities
- Sufficient vision or other powers of observation
- Sufficient manual dexterity
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient with MS Word and Excel
- Ability to write detailed inspection reports
- Valid Drivers License
