Job Summary
Administer therapy and provide individual, group, and family counseling to students with mental health and substance abuse issues. Deliver direct treatment, consultation, and crisis intervention while conducting home visits and transporting individuals served. Collect data, prepare reports, and document case histories to ensure effective mental health services. Attend IEP, RTI, and 504 team meetings as needed to advise on student status and treatment goals. Maintain confidentiality of records and communicate with staff, students, and parents regarding the counseling program. Refer students to appropriate community resources and implement behavior intervention plans based on assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Valid unrestricted Georgia Driver's License
- Master's Degree in counseling related field
- At least 1 year experience working with youth/students and families with behavioral needs
- Must be computer literate
- Must obtain job-related license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) and/or certification (CAC, CADC, etc.), within 2-2.5 years of employment
- Transporting individuals served is a requirement
Desired Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Valid Georgia Licensee to practice (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.)
- Panel eligible
- Two or more years' experience working with children in a clinical/school setting
