Job Summary
Respond to work orders via internet-based phone application and conduct walk-throughs of units post-move-out to identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot maintenance needs. Perform general repairs to ensure apartments meet company standards before new residents move in, including installing outlets, lighting, and fans; replacing blinds, mirrors, and doors; fixing windows, screens, and locks; addressing plumbing concerns like leaking faucets and clogged drains; caulking tubs and sinks; and performing minor appliance repairs. Communicate with residents regarding repairs using excellent customer service while promoting safety and efficiency. Work a family-friendly daily rotating on-call schedule with extra pay for holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical, plumbing and light electrical aptitude
- Specials Boiler's License, or the ability to obtain within 6 months
- Ability and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid Driver's License and meet car insurance requirements
- Ability to work rotating on-call schedule
- Ability to operate applicable phone applications for work orders, time allocation, and information look-up
- Ability to stand, lift and bend for up to 8 hours (with breaks) in hot/cold and wet environments
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- Prior Multi-housing experience preferred
