Job Summary
Complete resident service requests, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently. Prepare apartment homes for new residents through quality make-ready work and assist with pool maintenance, grounds support, and community appearance as needed. Utilize mobile technology and maintenance software to manage work orders while participating in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency responses. Collaborate with the Service Manager to identify maintenance priorities and improve operations. Requires EPA Type II certification, two years of apartment maintenance experience, and a valid driver's license. Full-time role at LUMA Residential in Dallas, TX, offering a $1,000 hiring bonus, competitive hourly pay, and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- EPA Certification (or equivalent HVAC certification)
- Minimum two years of apartment maintenance experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, and general maintenance
- Ability to diagnose and repair maintenance issues efficiently
- Personal maintenance tools
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
- Comfortable using a smartphone, tablet, and maintenance software
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification
- Experience maintaining older apartment communities
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
